Terms

Last updated October 18, 2026

The short version: be kind, show up as yourself, and pay for your spot. The long version is below. By signing up for a class or event at Brickhaus Comedy, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Brickhaus Comedy ("we," "us") runs improv and sketch classes and events at 2020 West Fairbanks Ave, Winter Park, FL. You can reach us any time at hello@brickhauscomedy.com.

Signing up

  • Your spot is confirmed once your payment goes through and you get a confirmation email.
  • Spots are limited. Starting checkout holds a spot for about 30 minutes; if you don't finish, it's released.
  • Please use your real name and an email you check. That's where class details, reminders and changes go.

Paying

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • For multi-week classes you can pay in full, or pay a $100 deposit to hold your spot and pay the rest later through the link we email you. The balance is still owed even if you've only paid the deposit.
  • One-night events and drop-ins are paid in full when you sign up.

Refunds and withdrawals

  • Multi-week classes: the $100 deposit is non-refundable. If you withdraw before the end of week 3 of the class, we refund everything you've paid beyond the deposit. After week 3, payments are non-refundable.
  • One-night events and drop-ins are non-refundable.
  • Missing a class doesn't earn a refund or a credit, but tell us and we'll catch you up.
  • To withdraw, email us. Card refunds usually show up within 5–10 business days.
  • If we cancel a class or event, you get a full refund, deposit included.

Waitlists

When a class is full you can join its waitlist. If a spot opens, we email the next person a link to claim it. That link is good for 24 hours, then the spot goes to the next person in line.

Changes to classes

Sometimes life happens: an instructor gets sick, the building floods, a date has to move. We may change a class's dates, times, location or instructor. If we do, we'll email you as soon as we can, and if the change doesn't work for you, you can withdraw for a refund of what you've paid beyond the deposit, even outside the usual window.

How we treat each other

Comedy works when people feel safe enough to be weird. Harassment, discrimination, threats or making other students feel unsafe aren't okay, on stage or off. Neither is showing up under the influence. We may remove anyone who crosses those lines, without a refund.

Taking part

Improv involves moving around, sometimes quickly and close to other people. Take part at your own pace and sit out anything you're not comfortable with. Tell your instructor about anything that affects how you can participate. You take part at your own risk, and to the extent the law allows, Brickhaus Comedy isn't liable for injuries or lost or damaged belongings.

Photos and showcases

We may take photos or video at showcases and occasionally in class to share what we do. If you'd rather not appear in them, tell us and we'll keep you out of anything we post.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your class is the one posted when you signed up. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Questions? Email hello@brickhauscomedy.com. See also our privacy policy.
