about

Comedy is a team sport.

Brickhaus Comedy started with friends who wanted a place where anyone could play together, laugh together, and learn to be funny from an honest place. We keep classes small, the vibe supportive, and the laughs frequent.

Headshot of Alex Streu

Alex Streu

Alex has studied comedy his whole life and taught it for the last ten years: improv, sketch, plays, film, directing. He’s in it for the art and science of comedy, and moreso, the art and science of being human.

Weird fact (Snopes verified): Definitely has teeth.

More instructors coming soon. They also have teeth.

FAQ

I've never done comedy. Is that okay?+

Yes. Most people who walk in have never been on a stage. Our beginner classes are built for exactly that.

Do I have to be funny?+

Nope. Funny comes from being honest, and you already know how to do that. Bring yourself. We'll build the rest.

Do I have to pay everything up front?+

No. For multi-week classes you can pay in full or put down a deposit to hold your spot. We'll email you a link to pay the rest whenever you're ready.

What if a class is sold out?+

Join the waitlist on the class page. If a spot opens we'll email you a link, and you'll have 24 hours to claim it before it goes to the next person.

What's your refund policy?+

Multi-week classes: $100 of what you pay is a non-refundable deposit. Withdraw any time before the end of week 3 and we refund everything else. One-night events and drop-ins are non-refundable.

What should I bring?+

Yourself. Also comfortable clothes and water. For writing classes, a notebook or laptop.
